After a decade in corporate America, JD Staley launched a one-man handyman business in 2020 under the name Staley Home Services. What began as weekend work—handling small home repairs, deck builds, and power washing to earn extra income—quickly became something more meaningful. Along the way, JD rediscovered his passion for carpentry, a craft he first pursued professionally in 2013 before transitioning into the corporate world. 

As word spread and the client base continued to grow, JD began envisioning a bigger future for the business. He entered a partnership and worked tirelessly to expand operations, all while continuing to balance the demands of a full-time corporate career. 

When an unexpected layoff changed everything, JD was faced with a defining choice: return to the security of another office job or fully commit to the dream he had been building. He chose the latter. After parting ways with his business partner, JD took a leap of faith and officially launched Staley Contracting. 

Today, JD proudly owns and operates the general contracting business he built from the ground up, rooted in grit and committed to craftsmanship. Backed by a skilled and dependable team, Staley Contracting delivers everything from small home improvement projects to full-scale residential and commercial renovations.
